"Passing Time" – Motion and Mood on the Open Road

Inspired by the interplay of motion and stillness, I envisioned this scene as a visual metaphor for the passage of time. To enhance the storytelling, I used color correction to transition from warm, golden hues to cool blue tones—evoking the shift from day to night and the emotional transitions that come with it. The motion blur of the vehicles further amplifies this sense of fleeting moments, transforming an ordinary highway into a cinematic narrative about change, movement, and the beauty found in everyday journeys. Through editing and dramatic color grading, I aimed to create a visually immersive experience that invites viewers to feel the story, not just see it

Hey there!

I'm Arun, a UX/UI and web designer based in London, who loves working at the intersection of design and technology.

My background is in Mechanical Engineering, where I was already leaning toward the design side — my final project was designing and building a plug-in hybrid vehicle. That experience of integrating technology, both physical and digital, made me realize how much I enjoyed creating things that people could interact with.

That curiosity led me into UX/UI design, where I’ve worked on projects ranging from government portals to mobile games. I learned early on that design isn’t just about how something looks — it’s about how people feel when they use it.

To sharpen my skills, I completed an MSc in User Experience Engineering at Goldsmiths, London. There, I focused on accessibility, HCI, and research, and explored how technology can improve interactive learning experiences. My dissertation work turned into a published research piece on interactive video UX design.
